As a Senior Implementation Specialist, you’ll lead the end-to-end onboarding experience for hh2’s commercial construction customers — guiding them from kickoff through go-live on our payroll, HR, and field operations solutions. You’ll be the hands-on expert on complex implementations, deliver training on construction-specific payroll workflows, and mentor fellow Implementation Specialists to raise the bar across the team. This is a fully remote role for someone who pairs deep technical know-how with a customer-first mindset.
What You’ll Do
- Lead end-to-end implementations for assigned customers (10-12 weeks), including kickoff meetings, installation guidance, data validation, and training for a smooth, timely onboarding.
- Deliver training on hh2’s products, including payroll processing and construction-specific requirements such as union rules, project-based pay, certified payroll, compliance reporting, and local labor laws.
- Mentor and coach Implementation Specialists by reviewing work, sharing feedback, and helping resolve roadblocks.
- Review, refine, and document implementation procedures, templates, and workflows to support consistency and scalability.
- Track customer adoption milestones, identify and mitigate onboarding risks, and resolve escalated customer issues within scope.
- Audit implementation projects and training sessions for accuracy and consistency, and recommend improvements to the client experience and internal practices.
- Develop and update training materials based on evolving customer needs, product updates, and feedback.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Support to align on customer needs and company goals.
- Maintain deep knowledge of hh2’s SaaS products and industry best practices, serving as a go-to resource for the team.
- Track key performance indicators for implementation success and share actionable insights with the Director of Implementation.
- Use AI-assisted tools responsibly, reviewing and validating output before use.
What You Bring
- Proven experience leading complex SaaS implementations or customer onboarding, ideally with HRIS or payroll platforms.
- Strong understanding of construction payroll systems and compliance — union rules and pay rates, project-based pay structures, certified payroll, and local/federal labor laws. Union payroll experience across industries is valuable; construction payroll experience preferred.
- Demonstrated experience designing and delivering training programs, with a working knowledge of adult learning principles.
- Solid troubleshooting skills and a working knowledge of APIs and integration concepts as they apply to onboarding.
- Proficiency with Salesforce, Office 365, and Teams, plus project tracking tools (experience with OnRamp a plus).
- Experience mentoring or coaching peers in a team setting.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fully remote environment.
- Strong Project Management skills.
- Solid understanding of General Ledger cost accounting best practices.
