Find Employees with Missing Time

Before you can close out a pay period, you need to know who hasn’t submitted time. Ask Vyki. She reads across every time sheet you have access to and gives you a direct answer.

 How to do it

  1. Open the Vyki chat window from the header on the home page or any Time Tracking page.
  2. Ask for a summary of missing time.

    • “Which employees haven’t entered time yet this pay period?”

    • “Who is missing time for the week of June 2?”

    • “Show me everyone on the Northgate project with less than 32 hours logged this week.”

  3. Review the response. Vyki returns a list grouped by employee or crew. Where it helps, she offers a follow-up action, such as sending reminders to everyone on the list.

Who’s included

Vyki leaves inactive and terminated employees out of every list by default, and returns only employees from the company you’re signed in to. If you want former employees included, ask for them: “include inactive employees too.”

Narrowing the list

You can filter results without leaving the conversation:

  • By salaried or hourly. “List employees missing time this pay period, excluding salaried employees.” Vyki keys off the employee’s Salary vs. Hourly setting. If some employees have no value set, she tells you rather than guessing.
  • By project, foreman, crew, or approval status. Vyki recognises all of them.
  • By signature status. If your company collects time sheet signatures, ask who has and hasn’t signed for the current period.

Getting the full list out of the chat

When a result has more than five rows, Vyki summarises it in the chat. To get everything, ask for a file:

  • “Give me an Excel of that.”
  • “Send that as a PDF.”

The file has the complete result set, not the summary. Vyki can export up to one month of data at a time, and the file takes a moment to build. Stay in the conversation while it generates.

Tips

  • Be specific about the time window. “The week of June 2” gets a better answer than “this week.”
  • Ask follow-up questions in the same conversation. Vyki remembers the context.
