Web Release Notes, 26.31.0

Bug Fixes

  • Correct Window Titles in Enterprise Benefits and Certifications
On Enterprise Benefit Enrollment, Enterprise Benefit Eligibility, and the Enterprise Certification Report, the window now keeps its correct title when you come back from the Employee or Benefit list.

Payroll

Enhancements

  • Jobs and Unions Setting Turned On Automatically
When an hh2 administrator connects a new client to hh2 Payroll, the Enable Unions and Jobs setting now turns on automatically. Jobs need this setting to sync to hh2 Payroll. It does not set up unions or start union processing. Clients that already have it on are unchanged. Reconnecting an existing client turns it on if it was off.

Bug Fixes

  • Employee Sync Continues When One Employee Has an Error
When employees sync from hh2 Payroll to hh2, an error on one employee no longer stops the rest. That employee is skipped, logged, and tried again on the next sync. Employee codes that differ only by uppercase or lowercase letters are now matched instead of duplicated. Codes longer than 20 characters are rejected with a clear reason.

Time Tracking

Bug Fixes

  • Overtime Recalculates After Editing Approved Time
Fixed an issue where adding, editing, or deleting time on an approved day split between regular and overtime hours could show the error "Sequence contains more than one matching element." When that happened, overtime was left uncalculated for the week. Overtime now recalculates correctly for both daily and weekly overtime rules.

Note: This update does not correct overtime hours affected before the fix. If a past time sheet shows overtime that does not match the regular hours entered, contact hh2 Support.

  • Overtime No Longer Doubled When Regular Time Is Re-Entered
Fixed an issue in the Overtime Rule Engine where overtime hours doubled when an employee re-entered Regular time on a day already fully converted to overtime.

Note: If you think extra overtime hours were exported before this fix, contact hh2 Support.

  • Approved Time Exports to Payroll
Fixed an issue where approved time did not export to payroll for employees assigned to a payroll policy. These time records are now included in payroll exports.

  • Changing a Cost Code No Longer Deactivates Its Job
Fixed an issue in Job Cost where clicking the "Is Active" label in the Cost Code or Category window could deactivate the parent job without warning. Changing the active status now affects only that cost code or category.

Note: Jobs deactivated by this issue are not turned back on automatically. Check the Active setting on the Job Details tab for any job that became inactive unexpectedly.

  • Inactive Cost Codes Hidden in Time Record Entry
For payroll groups that use job-specific cost codes, Time Record Entry no longer lists inactive cost codes under the Active Cost Codes filter. Time Record Entry and Time Sheet now show the same status for every cost code, with no need to log out or switch screens. Inactive cost codes still appear with a strikethrough under the Inactive Cost Codes and All Cost Codes filters. Payroll managers can still select them.

  • Shifts Can Be Created Again
Creating a new shift under Payroll Configurations > Shifts now works and no longer shows "Failed to Create Shift." New shifts can also be edited, deactivated, and reactivated.

Note: For now, new shifts are always saved as active, no matter how Is Active is set.

  • Breaks Display Correctly on Crew Punch Clock
On the Crew Punch Clock Edit Punches window, a break now shows once, under the correct punch interval, after a manual Punch In is added before it. A break recorded after the last punch shows in the breaks row at the top of the window. This was a display issue only. Punch records and payroll hours were not affected.

  • Correct Window Title in PDF Time Sheet Filters
On the PDF Time Sheets screen, the filter window now keeps the title PDF Time Sheet Filters when you come back from the Job or Payroll Group list.

AP Payments

Enhancements

  • Larger Document Uploads
You can now upload documents up to 50 MB from the web, up from about 28 MB. Large uploads no longer slow down other pages while they run.

  • Faster Invoice List for High-Volume Companies
For companies with large invoice volumes, the Assigned view on the Invoice List and its Excel export now load in seconds. Before, they could take over a minute or time out.

  • More Accurate Invoice Search
Keyword search on the Invoices page now finds every matching invoice on the Primary, On Hold, and All Invoices tabs, not just the first set of records loaded. All three tabs search the same fields, including Description, Vendor Name, Vendor Code, Group Name, and Amount. Invoice counts match your keyword and filters. All Invoices now sorts by Vendor Name like the other tabs. Keywords must be at least two characters.

  • Workflow Setup Highlights Paths With No Approval Step

In Workflow setup, any path with no approval step is now highlighted in red. Hover over it to see a reminder that every path needs at least one approval step so invoices don't get stuck. The highlight clears once you add an approval step.

  • More Reliable Document Previews
Thumbnails and page previews are more reliable. If a preview is missing, it is created automatically when you open the document.

Bug Fixes

  • Enter Key Moves Through Fields
On the Data Entry and Invoice Detail screens, pressing Enter now moves to the next field in the Header and Distributions sections, the same way Tab does. This includes Location, Invoice, Invoice Date, Amount, and Description. Shift + Enter moves back one field. The field you land on is selected, so you can type over it. Enter does not stop on buttons, so it won't trigger Save or Approve Header on its own. Receipt Detail is not included in this release.

  • Uploaded PDFs Display in Data Entry
PDFs and other documents uploaded from the web now open and show their pages in the Data Entry viewer. OCR and Auto Fill work as before. Before this fix, the viewer could stay blank and show "Could not determine if page has searchable text."

  • Document Acceptance Uploads Work Again
Files added through Upload Documents now upload, show a thumbnail, and open and download correctly. Supported formats are PDF, JPG, PNG, TIF, TIFF, DOCX, and XLSX.

  • Receipts With a Location Now Save
A receipt with a Location selected in the header now saves correctly. Selecting a Location no longer changes the receipt's Entity. Clearing a Location no longer clears an Entity you chose yourself.

  • Sage 300 Invoice Exports No Longer Report a False Failure
Invoices exported to Sage 300 from Final Review now complete and show as exported when Sage accepts them. When Sage rejects an invoice, the message now includes Sage's reason, such as the invoice already existing.

Note: This update requires the latest hh2 Sync Client.

  • Sage 100 Contractor Canada: PST Included in Job Cost for Credit Card Receipts
Credit card receipts exported from hh2 now include provincial sales tax (PST) in the amount posted to Job Cost, the same way AP invoices do. Goods and services tax (GST) is still excluded from Job Cost. Receipts exported before the update are not changed.

Note: This update requires the latest hh2 Sync Client.

  • Paid Invoices No Longer Show as Outstanding
The Invoice Aging Summary and Invoice Inquiry now treat an invoice as paid when your accounting system marks it Paid, even if no matching payment record has synced to hh2. Voided invoices no longer show as outstanding. Because no payment record synced, the paid amount on these invoices may show 0.

  • Job Managers and GL Account Managers Can Delete Invoices in a Workflow
Users assigned to a workflow step as Job Manager or General Ledger Account Manager can now delete an invoice when that step allows it. This applies when the job or account is coded on the invoice distribution lines. Deleting is not yet available when the job or account is coded only on the invoice header. That is a known issue we are tracking.

  • Workflow Emails Include the Invoice PDF
Fixed an issue where workflow emails with "Include PDF attachment" turned on could be sent without the invoice PDF.

  • Invoice List Excel Export Completes
Fixed an issue where exporting the Invoice List to Excel could fail when an invoice field had characters Excel doesn't allow. The export now completes, and those characters are left out.

  • Batch Coding Fills In Commitment Item
On the Distribution Worksheet, batch coding with the Empty Fields Only option now fills in the Commitment Item, the same as Overwrite All Fields. Job, Cost Code, and Category from the Commitment Item are filled in too, and the row's existing Category is no longer cleared. Those fields then become read only. Use Clear on the Commitment Item to edit them again.

  • Deleting a Receipt Returns You to the Receipt List
Deleting a receipt from Receipt Detail now takes you back to the list you came from, such as My Receipts or All Receipts, with the receipt removed. You no longer need to refresh the page. The browser Back button won't reopen the deleted receipt, and the Delete button can no longer be submitted twice.

  • Receipt Type Change Clears Previous Selections
In Receipts, changing the receipt type no longer leaves the previous Location or Reimbursement Vendor highlighted in the selection list.

  • Notes Count Clears When All Notes Are Deleted
In Data Entry, the count on the Notes button now clears when you delete the last note on a document.

  • Payment Applications Date Filter Fixes
The Date filter calendar on the Payment Applications screen is no longer cut off when the list has few or no records, and it stays anchored to the Date field as you scroll. Clear Date now empties the filter right away, closes the calendar, and shows the full list again.

Note: Selecting only a start date does not filter the list. Choose both a start and end date to apply the filter.

  • Go Back Added to Create Vendor
When you open Create Vendor from the Select A Vendor list in Data Entry or Invoice Detail, a Go Back option now shows in the top left corner. It returns you to the vendor list. Any search text you typed is cleared.

  • Override Document Routes Window Opens Smoothly
In Data Entry, the Override Document Routes window now opens once, centered and at full size, with no resizing while it loads.

  • View Page Image Shows Save From the Start
In Document Acceptance, the View Page Image window now shows Save in the top right as soon as it opens, instead of briefly showing Close.

  • Spelling and Spacing Fixes
Fixed a misspelling in the Coding permission tooltip in User Setup, and improved spacing between labels and checkboxes in the Invoices Settings window.

Field Reports

Bug Fixes

  • Custom Tab Field Names Are Kept
In System Settings, Custom Tabs, fields added to the Custom Tab Fields screen now keep their names, such as Textbox, Decimal, or Checkbox. Before, they were saved as "Field." Names you type yourself are also kept.

  • Updated Receipt Images Show Right Away
When you replace the receipt image on a material entry in a Daily Log, View File now opens the new image right after it saves. The entry's Modified By information also updates right away.

  • Correct Window Title After Canceling Create Company
On the Subcontractors tab of a Daily Log, canceling Create Company now returns you to the Select A Company window with the correct title.

Vyki AI

Enhancements

  • Vyki Available After a Page Refresh
When Vyki is turned on for your company, users can now start using it after a page refresh. Before, users who were already signed in had to sign out and back in.

  • Unit Descriptions Include Full Details
When you ask Vyki about unit descriptions, each one now includes its date, pay type, job, cost code, and hours in the first reply.

Bug Fixes

  • Complete Tenant-Wide Compliance Checks
Fixed an issue where tenant-wide compliance checks stopped after a few pages of employees. That left runs incomplete and data missing from the Excel report.

  • Relative Dates Follow Your Company Time Zone
Fixed an issue where "today" and other relative dates could land on the next day in the evening, so time could be entered on the wrong date. Dates now follow your company's time zone.

  • Open Punches Recognized
Fixed an issue where Vyki could report that no one had punched in for the day when employees had open punches that weren't converted to time entries yet.

  • Overtime Corrections Apply to Punch Clock Time
Fixed an issue where Vyki's overtime corrections could be refused on time from Punch Clock, leaving some corrections unapplied.

  • Vyki Can Update and Delete Manual Time Entries
Fixed an issue where Vyki could not update or delete manually entered time entries and reported a permissions problem instead. When a change is blocked, Vyki now explains the actual reason.

  • Vyki Answers After You Pick a Module
Fixed an issue where Vyki asked whether a question was about Time Tracking or AP Payments, then failed to answer after you replied. Vyki now answers your original question.

  • Earlier Responses Stay in the Conversation
Fixed an issue where closing and reopening the Vyki panel, then sending a new message, could replace an earlier response with a "Thinking" placeholder.

iPaaS

Enhancements

  • Sage 100 Contractor: Combined Time Entries on Automatic Export
When approved time exports automatically to Sage 100 Contractor, units with the same coding (date, pay type, job, cost code, and so on) are now sent as one Daily Payroll entry. For example, an 8-hour punch adjusted by a manual entry of -6.5 hours now arrives as a single 1.5-hour entry, matching the Time Sheet. File exports already worked this way.

Note: If matching units add up to zero hours, Sage 100 Contractor will not accept the entry.

Bug Fixes

  • Sage 300 CRE: New hh2 HCM Employees Sync to Sage
Fixed an issue where new employees created in hh2 HCM were saved in hh2 but never reached Sage 300 CRE. They now sync to Sage 300 CRE automatically when created, the same as employees added in the hh2 HR UI.

  • Sage 300 CRE: Employee Defaults Sync
Employee default values, such as department, pay type, union, job, cost code, and workers' comp code, now carry over to Sage 300 CRE when you create or update employees in hh2. You no longer have to fill them in by hand.

  • Sage 300 CRE: Employee Updates Save Reliably
Fixed repeat sync failures when saving an employee's payroll defaults to Sage 300 CRE. Employee updates now save reliably, without a stuck sync queue that needed manual fixes.

  • Sage 300 CRE: Sync Reliability and Diagnostics
A commitment change order whose job no longer exists in Sage no longer stops a batch sync. The sync now logs a warning and keeps going. Long-running query timeouts and commitment item read failures are now logged in more detail, so issues can be found and fixed faster.

  • Sage 100 Contractor and Sage 300 CRE: Job State Saves Correctly
Jobs synced from Sage 100 Contractor and Sage 300 CRE now save the job address state correctly. This includes full state names, entries with extra spaces or lowercase letters, extras, and phases. Canadian provinces and territories are also recognized. Job work locations can now sync to hh2 Payroll, which prevents Export to Payroll address errors. If a state isn't recognized, the sync keeps the job's previous state instead of clearing it.

Note: When you change the state on an existing job, update the city and postal code at the same time so the work location validates.
